We believe that Residence is more than just a place to sleep; it is an experience. By living in Residence you have an exciting opportunity to grow and find meaning through friendships, exploration of ideas, and involvement in the residential community and the University as a whole. Why live in Residence?

Live Close

Sleep more and drive less. Living on-campus means rolling out of bed 20     minutes before class and getting there on time. It means living near the     library, dining facilities, athletic/rec center,      computer labs, and all the other campus facilities and amenities.

Live Supported

By living on-campus,  residents interact and live   with dedicated professional and student staff members. SFU Residence and   Housing has a team of staff   members who work cooperatively to build and maintain a feeling of community. Staff  members are available to assist residents with personal      and academic concerns,    and act as resources to residents.

Live With Friends

Living at SFU means living with friends and    experiencing a living   situation that is different     from any other. Residents have their own private    space while still living      next to their closest    friends.

Additionally, residents are introduced to individuals       they otherwise would not    have  had the opportunity to know, and often build      bonds of friendship that remain strong long after leaving SFU.

Live With Opportunities

SFU Residence and     Housing strives to provide residents with a living and learning environment that compliments their   educational experience.

Not only do residents have  the opportunity to enhance their educational experience by taking part in a variety of residence activities that are social, educational and/or athletic, but also by getting       involved in the many leadership opportunities available in Residence.
