| Program | Computing Science is the science of computation and its applications to the sciences, engineering, business, arts and the social sciences, providing students the flexibility to remain either a generalist or to concentrate in areas such as: Artificial intelligence The School also offers two innovative programs: Software Systems at the Surrey campus, and the SFU/China Dual Degree. Software Systems is a hands-on program providing the skills to create today's software solutions and propel tomorrow's innovations. The SFU/China Dual Degree(电脑专业双学位课程)is a unique program in North America, offering two degrees in computing science: one from Zhejiang University in China (浙江大学) and one from Simon Fraser University. Dual Degree Program students not only gain proficiency in the Mandarin language, but acquire valuable international experience that will be advantageous for a successful career in the global market.
