What is Passport to Leadership?

Passport to Leadership is a series of interactive workshops, delivered by dynamic staff presenters.  The program, which began in the fall of 2008, aims to introduce new SFU students, particularly those in their first year, to basic leadership skills. 

How does it work?

The Passport to Leadership Program is divided into 5 different session topics.  This series of workshops tackle a variety of themes, including:

• Popular leadership concepts and "myths,"
• Self-awareness and perception,
• Diversity training and communication strategies,
• Personal values assessment, goal-setting and real-life application.

Delivered in a cohort model, the curriculum offers students the chance to build on their knowledge and practice from one session to the next, creating the opportunity for more profound self-reflection and more meaningful social interactions with other participants.  Participants who complete all 5 sessions receive a certificate of completion.

2. Click on "Students" (red main menu).  Login with your computing id and password

3. Click on "Opportunities" (red main menu), then click on "Personal Development Training" (gray tabbed menu)

4. Click on "Register for Passport to Leadership."

5. Follow the instructions on the event page to process your registration and payment
