Orientation Services for International, Exchange and Study Abroad Students
International, Exchange and Study Abroad Orientation
You should attend this program if you are a(n):
- International undergraduate student: Completing an Undergraduate degree at SFU
- International graduate student: Completing a Masters or PhD degree at SFU
- Exchange student: At SFU for 1-3 terms only, for undergraduate OR graduate studies, on a formal exchange from one of SFU's partner institutions
- Study Abroad student: At SFU for 1-3 terms only, for undergraduate OR graduate studies, on a formal study abroad from one of SFU's partner institutions

International, Exchange and Study Abroad Orientation provides information on Immigration, Health Insurance, Academic Culture in Canada and an Introduction to SFU, Vancouver and Canada.

Welcome Event - Photo Scavenger Hunt - Saturday, May 12th, 2012
The ISS Photo Scavenger Hunt is a great way to connect with other new international and exchange/study abroad students, in beautiful downtown Vancouver. Take photos of great monuments and participate in fun games as your team explores the city! There is no cost to participate in the Photo Scavenger Hunt; if you would like to join us for dinner afterwards please be sure to bring money to cover your meal. Registration Required, please RSVP by May 7th

What to Bring: UPass, comfortable shoes and clothing, camera if you have one, money for dinner. Be sure to dress for the weather.

Campus Orientation
Campus Orientation is a good chance to get oriented to the SFU campus, learn about Student Life Opportunities and Student Services, participate in an Academic session and get connected to a Clan of other new students.
All new students are encouraged to attend Campus Orientation.

This orientation is a great opportunity for all new students who will be living in SFU Residence to get acquainted with their new Residence community and the Vancouver area.
