Logging in to SFU's Student Information System

Your computing ID and password

  • What is it: your email and computer account at SFU, for example, student@sfu.ca
  • How do I get it: pay your $250 deposit to confirm your admission, then wait for an email saying it is ready
  • When will I get it: in mid-June for Fall admission, mid-October for Spring admission or mid-February for Summer admission, if you’ve paid your deposit before those dates. After these dates, you’ll get it 5-7 business days after you’ve paid your deposit. In all cases, you will get an email from SFU when it is ready.
  • Where will I get it: at my.sfu.ca/AccountActivation after you’ve received the email to say that it is ready
  • I lost it!   you get help for either a lost password or lost computing ID on the log in page for my.sfu.ca - click on the “Forgot your password?” link below the login box.
  • Where do I log in? visit the Student Information System; the login link is on the left side of the screen above the menu, with a green arrow. (See a screenshot of the page.)

If you are an applicant (haven't received your offer of admission yet), you will log in with your temporary ID and password. See more help for applicants.
