Medical Emergency Response

Burnaby Campus

Please call Campus Security at 778.782.4500 for any medical emergencies or psychological crisis. Campus Security's Emergency Response Team (ERT) will be dispatched to the emergency scene and will provide any necessary first aid. If necessary, Security’s ERT will contact 911 and escort them directly to the emergency. During Health & Counselling Services operating hours, the patient may be transfered to their Health Clinic (MBC 0101) for further assessment and care.

Vancouver Campus

Following your call placed to the emergency line (25252) or 9-911, Security and the Occupational First Aid (OFA) attendants will be dispatched to your location. If 9-911 has already been called, Security will ensure that the ambulance or fire personnel are directed correctly. If an ambulance has not been called, an assessment of your condition will be done by the OFA Attendant. If it is determined that an ambulance is required, Security will place the call. If an ambulance is not required, you may be transported to Health & Counselling Services’ Health Clinic (Room 300) or the First Aid Room on the Upper Mall Level for further care.
