Donating to the Food Bank

We accept unopened non-perishable food and sealed personal hygiene items that have not expired. Donations are accepted in donation boxes at the SFU Burnaby Library, in Shell House in Residence, at the Student Development office (MBC 2000), and at the Student Society General Office (MBC 2200). Donations can also be made at SFU Surrey to the box outside the Surrey Campus Committee Office (SUR 3390).

Cash donations help us buy much-needed bulk items such as dried fruit, flour, and sugar. Cash or cheque donations can be brought to the Student Society Office in MBC 2200.

Most needed items:

  • Cereal
  • Canned meat and fish
  • Beans
  • Stews
  • Vegan and vegetarian soups
  • Non-perishable soy milk
  • Pasta (other than instant noodles) and pasta sauce
  • Rice
  • Sealed packages of diapers
  • Shampoo
  • Toothpaste
  • Skim Milk Powder
