Food Bank

SFU Foodbank

The SFU Food Bank offers support for SFU students and families in need. It is a confidential service located in the Maggie Benston Building, room 1349.

Food Bank Services now available for SFU Surrey students! Check out SFU Surrey for the details on requesting assistance.

You are welcome to access the SFU Food Bank when you are in need or in an emergency situation. Please click here to view the hours of operation for this semester.

The Food Bank is operated by a student Food Bank Coordinator and student volunteers. You can contact the Coordinator, Bonnie Miller, at foodbank@sfu.ca

If you cannot wait for a response due to an emergency situation, you can call the Student Development office at 778-782-4476. Student Development is located in MBC 2000.

The SFU Food Bank is able to operate because of the generous support of:

  • Student Services (provides the space and funding for staff)
  • Simon Fraser Student Society (donates 10% of vending income and provides administrative support)
  • Student volunteers: the agents of social change
  • The SFU Library, which organizes the Food for Fines campaign at the end of each semester
  • Student, staff and faculty food donations and monetary support during campus food drives
