Using a third party sponsor / First Nations or Métis organization to pay tuition

Please ensure that you have your sponsor submit a sponsorship form or sponsor letter before the start of the term. The sponsorship forms available from SFU, or the sponsor letter on official letterhead, must include the following details:

• Student's first and last name

• Student number

• Sponsor's name

• Sponsor's contact details (attention, address, email, phone and fax number)

• Terms to be paid for (list all terms to be covered)

• Details of the charges to be covered

Any charges not mentioned in the sponsor letter or on the sponsorship form must be paid by the student.

Sponsorship forms for First Nations and Métis students that include books will be forwarded to the Indigenous Student Centre.

All of your student account information is available on the Student Information System under "Finances: Account Summary".

Third party sponsorship forms/letters are processed by the end of week 4 of the term. Any charges not covered by the sponsor/band will be subject to a 2% per month late fee penalty if they are not paid before the tuition deadlines.
