Social media has officially established itself as a valuable asset within the university community. Not only is it an effective tool in catching the attention of students, but also plays a role in engaging staff and faculty members. Student leaders hold a unique position in the university community, as they must balance an appropriate professional profile, while still trying to maintain authentic peer-to-peer relationships.

This session will provide guidelines not only on how to use social media in a professional context, but how to define their social media profile online.

Through interactive discussion groups and brainstorming, participants will be given concrete ideas and tools to implement a social media strategy within their own professional and peer communities.
