Summer term

Summer term starts May 7, 2012; last day of exams is August 16, 2012

Enrolment appointments begin online March 12; open enrolment begins March 31.

Classes: add/swap/change tutorial

May 11 (Friday) Last day to add classes, swap classes, change tutorials using the Student Information System
May 18 (Friday) Last day to enroll for class challenge or switch your challenge from one class to another or regular enrollment in a class, with permission of the department. (You can’t withdraw from class challenge without substituting a regular class.)
May 28 (Monday) Last day to add classes through the department, with permission of the chair and instructor. Last day to change tutorials through the department. Last day to change a class to audit status.

May 18 (Friday) Last day to completely withdraw from all classes using the Student Information System, with no notation on your academic record.
May 28 (Monday) Last day to drop a class using the Student Information System, with no Withdrawal notation on your academic record. If withdrawing from all classes, a Withdrawal notation will be added to your transcript.
June 11 (Monday) Last day to drop a class using the Student Information System, with a Withdrawal notation (WD) on your academic record.
July 27 (Friday) Last day to apply to drop classes in the current term under extenuating circumstances (WE). (Applications received after this date will be considered retroactive and may take longer to process.)

Fees: payment and refunds/penalties

Payment
May 18 (Friday) Deadline to pay tuition and student fees. After this date, every month a 2% penalty will be calculated and posted to your student account.
June 22 (Friday) Deadline to pay Co-op Practicum fees.
Refunds/penalties
April 6 (Friday) Last day for 100% refund of tuition.
April 7 (Saturday) to May 11 (Friday) Penalty of $50 for each class dropped (maximum total penalty $100) during this period, if your net course load has decreased.
May 12 (Saturday) to May 18 (Friday) Penalty of $100 for each class dropped during this period, if your net course load has decreased.
May 19 (Saturday) No refund for courses dropped. After this date, every month a 2% penalty will be assessed on any outstanding balance. View your student account after May 22 for outstanding balance.
June 22 (Friday) after 2:30pm Refund cheques REQUESTED for overpayment, which are NOT related to scholarships and bursaries, are available for pickup, UNLESS payment has been made by personal cheque, which requires a 45 day clearance period.

Graduation application/cancellation

June 15 (Friday) Deadline to apply and pay without a late fee on the Student Information System for graduation in October 2012 convocation ceremonies, if you are completing degree requirements in Summer 2012 term.
August 17 (Friday) Deadline to apply and pay with a late fee on the Student Information System for graduation in October 2012 convocation ceremonies, if you are completing degree requirements in Summer 2012 term. (A non-refundable late fee of $50 for each degree, diploma and certificate will be charged.)
September 4 (Tuesday) Deadline to cancel application to graduate in October 2012 convocation ceremonies, if you are completing degree requirements in Summer 2012 term.
